Community Guidelines
Version 2026-10-27 · Last updated: October 27, 2026 · Español
Neo Mambí Community is the space in Neo Mambí to post, comment, follow people and places, and take part in the Provinces League. These guidelines explain what you can and cannot do, how we moderate and how you can appeal. They are part of the Terms of Use and complement the Privacy Policy. The Spanish version prevails in case of discrepancy.
Before you post for the first time we will ask you to accept this version of the guidelines. If we change them substantially, we will notify you and ask you to accept again. Even if you do not accept them, you can keep reading public content.
1. What we want
- Political criticism, dissent and satire. You may criticize governments, parties, officials, institutions and public figures, including the Government of Cuba, and Neo Mambí itself. No opinion, favorable or critical, toward a political position is by itself a reason for removal. Satire and humor are welcome as long as they are not used to disguise threats, harassment or private data.
- Useful information and first-hand accounts about daily life, your municipality or province, paperwork, blackouts, shortages or human rights.
- Respectful debate. Disagreement is normal; attack ideas, not people.
2. Prohibited content
Do not post or share (in posts, comments, images, or your profile name or photo):
- Threats and incitement to violence, including glorifying attacks on people or groups, and promoting self-harm.
- Harassment: repeated personal attacks, organized campaigns against a person, degrading insults or intimidation.
- Hate speech: attacks on people based on origin, race, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or immigration status.
- Sexually explicit content, sexual nudity or sexual content prohibited by law.
- Scams and fraud: money schemes, fake offers, sale of documents, illegal or prohibited goods or services, phishing or malicious links.
- Unlawful defamation: false statements of fact that harm the reputation of an identifiable person. Opinion and criticism are not defamation.
- False information that may cause serious harm (for example, about health or emergencies). We review context, source and harm, and prefer adding context or labels over removal.
- Content that is illegal in the applicable jurisdiction.
3. Privacy and doxxing
Do not share, without the affected person’s permission, private phone numbers, addresses, ID documents, immigration or legal case data, workplace, sensitive location, license plates or photos that make it possible to locate someone. This includes relatives of public figures. Exposing someone’s data so others can harass or hunt them (doxxing) is removed as a priority and may lead to immediate account suspension.
Public figures may be criticized for their public conduct, but their private data remains protected. If you are affected, use Report → Private information in the app or the claims page.
4. Intimate images without consent
It is prohibited to post, threaten to post or solicit intimate images or videos of a person without their consent, whether real or created or altered with artificial intelligence. The affected person, with or without an account, can request removal at Urgent removal. We remove the content and any known identical copies within 48 hours of a valid request and suspend the responsible account.
5. Minors: zero tolerance
- Any child sexual abuse or exploitation material (CSAM), including sexualization of minors, AI-generated content or drawings, is strictly prohibited. We remove it immediately, permanently suspend the account, keep only the minimum evidence required and report it to the competent authorities (in the U.S., to NCMEC).
- Harassment, grooming or contact with minors for sexual purposes, or sharing data that makes it possible to locate them, is also prohibited.
- How to report it: use Report → Child exploitation or safety in the app, or the Urgent removal page if you do not have an account. Do not download, save or forward the material, not even to report it. If a child is in immediate danger, call emergency services (911 in the U.S.). You can also report to the NCMEC CyberTipline.
- During this pilot phase, only adult accounts (18+) can post or comment in Community. Anyone can read public content according to the app’s age rating.
6. Impersonation and authentic accounts
Do not pretend to be another person, news outlet, professional (lawyer, doctor, immigration consultant) or institution, or create accounts that mislead about who is behind them. Parody and fan accounts must say so clearly in their name and bio. Do not use multiple or automated accounts to evade a sanction or inflate engagement.
7. Spam and manipulation
- Do not post repetitive content, unsolicited advertising, chain messages or misleading links.
- Do not buy, sell or trade followers, likes, comments or votes.
- Do not coordinate accounts to manipulate the Provinces League, the feed or reports (for example, mass reporting to silence someone).
8. Intellectual property
Only post content you created or have the right to share. Credit the source when sharing others’ work. If you believe your copyright is being infringed, send a notice through Claims. Accounts that repeatedly infringe may be suspended.
9. Place tags
You can tag a post with one place (municipality, province or Cuba) so that people interested in it can see it.
- Only tag places related to the content. Do not tag unrelated places to gain reach.
- Tagging a post does not change your place of origin or reveal where you live.
- Do not use tags or posts to point out someone else’s home or workplace.
- Moderators may remove a wrong or abusive tag, with a recorded reason, without removing the post if it does not break other rules.
10. Provinces League: fair play
The League is a free, friendly game between Cuban provinces; it is not a political contest and offers no cash prizes.
- One vote per person per match, only for the team of your declared province of origin.
- Repeatedly changing province to vote for another team is not allowed; a waiting period and review may apply.
- Fake accounts, bots, scripts, vote buying or fraudulent coordination are prohibited.
- Likes on the match post do not count as votes.
- Suspicious votes may be held or invalidated with an audit record; the scoreboard may show “Under review” meanwhile. Votes are never added manually.
- The rules of each match, including tie-breakers, are published before it starts and do not change during the event.
- Match comments follow these same guidelines: rivalry yes, regional insults and harassment no.
11. How we moderate
- Report: every post, comment, profile, image and match has a Report option. You get a case code and can follow its status in the app (My reports).
- Confidentiality: we never reveal to the reported person who reported them. We do not publish data that identifies reporters.
- Human review: we use automated filters and rate limits to detect risk, but removal and suspension decisions are reviewed by a person. We do not remove content just because it gets many reports.
- Priorities: cases involving minors and credible threats are handled immediately; non-consensual intimate images within 48 h at most; doxxing, scams and non-imminent threats within about 4 hours; everything else usually within 24–72 hours.
- Temporary hiding: in serious cases we may hide content while we review it.
- Block and mute: besides reporting, you can block a person (they cannot mention you, reply to you or follow you) or mute authors and places to stop seeing them. The other person is not notified.
- The rules apply equally to all accounts, including the Neo Mambí team’s.
12. Actions and restrictions
Depending on severity and history, we may:
- Close the report with no action if there is no violation.
- Ask for a correction or remove a place tag.
- Temporarily hide content.
- Remove a post, comment or image.
- Warn, limit posting frequency, or suspend posting or commenting for a period.
- Suspend the account temporarily or permanently, and notify authorities when the law requires it or someone’s life or safety is at risk.
We will notify you privately of each action with an identifier, the rule applied, its scope and the date.
13. Appeals
If you disagree with a decision about your content or account, use Request review in the notice or in My profile → Moderation. You can appeal once per action and add context. Whenever possible, a different moderator will review it. If the appeal succeeds, we restore the content and correct the related history. Responses never reveal who reported you.
