Delete your account and data

This page explains how to delete your Neo Mambí account (including your Neo Mambí Community profile) and what happens to your data. Deleting your account is permanent: it cannot be undone and it is not the same as signing out or uninstalling the app.
How to delete your account
In the app
- Open Neo Mambí and sign in.
- Go to My profile → Account and privacy → Delete account (in Spanish: Mi perfil → Cuenta y privacidad → Eliminar cuenta).
- Read the summary, confirm and, if asked, sign in again.
On the web (without reinstalling the app)
Go to https://www.neomambi.com/cuenta/eliminar, sign in with the same account and confirm the deletion.
By email
If you cannot access your account, email privacy@neomambi.com from the address linked to it, with the subject “Delete my account”. Include your username (@) if you remember it. We may ask you to verify that you own the account before deleting it. We will respond within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Profile: name, username, photo, bio, places of origin and residence and their visibility settings.
- Community posts and comments, and the images you uploaded (also removed from our content delivery network and caches).
- Follows (who you follow and who follows you), likes, blocks, mutes and followed places.
- Preferences: notifications, cards, guideline acceptances and other settings.
- Your login account and open sessions on all your devices.
- Any other personal data linked to your Neo Mambí account, except for the exceptions below.
What is retained and why

No retained data remains publicly visible.
Timeline
- Your profile, posts, comments and images stop being visible immediately when you confirm deletion.
- Full deletion from our systems and cached copies is completed within 30 days. If any step fails, it is retried automatically.
- Backups are overwritten in their normal cycle and are not used to restore deleted accounts.
Before deleting your account
- If you have a subscription (Premium) bought on the App Store or Google Play, cancel it in the store: deleting your account does not cancel store charges.
- If you just want to stop using Community, you can hide your places, stop posting or mute content without deleting your account.
